The First Workshop on Ubiquitous Affective Computing and Health Informatics (UACHI), taking place on October 28, 2024, at KAIST, brings together researchers and practitioners to explore the latest advancements in ubiquitous affective computing and its applications. Everyday sensing through mobile, wearable, and IoT devices (including VR) offers significant opportunities for advancing affective computing and health informatics applications. In Korea, research on everyday sensing and its use in everyday contexts is just beginning to gain momentum. This highlights the critical need for collaboration and knowledge sharing to build a strong community that can drive progress in this emerging field.
This event aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, focusing on how ubiquitous sensing technologies can be leveraged to enable smart interactions and to understand and enhance human emotional well-being as well as mental health. Featuring insightful talks, poster sessions, and panel discussions, the workshop provides a unique platform for participants to exchange ideas, showcase cutting-edge research, and shape the future of ubiquitous affective computing and health informatics in both academic and applied contexts.
Poster/Demo Session: If you wish to present your work at the poster session, please prepare a few slides and bring your laptop for presentation. We’ll have the poster/demo session at a large auditorium, and we have a plenty of space to host your poster/demo presentations.
Please note that all sessions will be in English
